What's up everybody. Adam here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt roof rack system on our 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness. These crossbars are 53 and three eighth inches long and the width is gonna be about two and one eighth inches wide and it's gonna sit up about seven eighth of an inch tall. So this is a pretty low profile aerodynamic bar. So it's a little smaller than some of the aero bars that you may be seeing. more

There are some different styles of roof racks, and what we have here is the flush fit style. So you can see here how it ends right at this end and that's an interesting design. Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars Installation - 2020 Subaru Forester- Video

Evangeline: Hi! It's Evangeline from etrailer.com, and today we are looking at our Thule roof rack with WingBar Evo crossbars and Evo raised rail towers, here on our 2020 Subaru Forester.Our Forester here has these raised rails. So, these Evo raised rail towers just clamp around them, and it was really easy to install. You just put it on there and you just tighten it down, which is a really nice feature about them. They also have these caps, and you can replace the cores on the caps with locked cores so you can lock your roof rack to your car.Our Forester has this glass roof up here for the sunroof. So, what I like about how this roof rack works together is that it latches onto the rails and goes over the roof so you don't have any weight on your glass roof and you still have access to your sunroof, which is great.As for measurements, your clearance between your roof and the bottom of the rails is four inches. So, that's plenty of space for your clamps, for your accessories to clamp around your WingBars. more

Yakima Roof Rack Installation - 2020 Subaru Forester- Video

Evangeline: Hi, it's Evangeline from etralier.com, and today we are looking at our Yakima roof rack with JetStream crossbars and TimberLine towers here on our 2020 Subaru Forester. Since our Forester has these strong raised rails, these TimberLine towers are a pretty good roof rack because they just clamp onto those rails and they're very easy to install and un-install. When you install your roof rack, the Yakima recommends measuring from the back with your hatch open all the way towards the front to see the best fit for where to place it. And we have it here at about 57 inches from the hatch, and the distance apart is 31 inches, which I found was a good distance. It's up to you with the accessories you use and how you're going to use it where you want it placed, and it's very easy to move around, you just loosen it and slide it to the position on your rails you need them to be.Our Forester has this glass roof here for your sun roof, and what's nice about these bars is that they go over it since they're just attached to your rails, so that way you're not putting any weight on that glass roof. So as for measurements, let's see, for clearance from the roof itself to the bottom of your bars, it's 4-1/2", and as for overhang, we have 50 inch bars, and you have an overhang from the end of the towers to the end of the bars of 2-1/4". more

Malone AirFlow2 Universal Roof Rack Installation - 2019 Subaru Crosstrek- Video

Now that this Malone roof rack system has some really nice aerodynamic shape crossbars, that's going to help cut down on wind noise and drag, especially if you compare it to a round or square bar roof rack system. We have a nice rubber strip up top, so we can utilize T-slot accessories. All we do is kind of push up on this cap. You can see we access the T-slot right here. All we have to do is push down on that rubber strip and then slide our accessory to the desired location on our roof rack and then tighten it down. Close the end cap and you're good to go.Now the crossbar length is going to be 50 inches on both of them, so that should be more than enough space to get your favorite accessories loaded up. more

So today on our 2019 Subaru Forester, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Yakima RailBar roof rack system. I've already got it in place just to give you a good idea of what it looks like. With this system, it's going to allow us to carry roof-mounted accessories, things like bike racks, kayak carriers, cargo boxes, and more. Now the crossbars are going to offer us about 32" of usable space, so we'll be able to carry not one bike rack, but maybe two or three bike racks, or even two kayaks up there. Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2018 Subaru Forester- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Forester, we're gonna be test fitting the Rhino rack vortex aero roof rack system, consisting of part number RRVA126V-2. These are the vortex aero crossbars. This also come in silver as part number RRVA126S-2 and we'll be using the SX series legs here as part number RRSX100. This is a very nice roof rack system that can fit a wide variety of accessories, such as bike racks, cargo baskets or cargo boxes and it helps to free up space inside your Forester. The bars themselves have an elliptical shape to them and that couples with the vortex aero strip up at the top, that will help cut down the wind noise and drag while you drive. The end caps are removable loosening up this plastic lock here and you can replace these locks with regular keyed locks to secure this to your roof as well. more

Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2018 Subaru Forester- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Forester, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima JetStream Roof Rack System, consisting of part numbers Y-00425, and that's going to be the Yakima JetStream crossbars here. These are 50 inches long and they also come in silver. We'll also be using the Timberline towers here, part number Y-00147. These simply wrap around your existing side rails, I'll remove the end cap here, and attach like so. It's a very nice roof rack system that can carry a wide variety of accessories such as bike racks, cargo baskets or cargo boxes and help free up space inside your Forester.On the end caps here, we do have plastic knockout pieces that can be replaced with the Yakima SKS lock core system so once this is installed, it can be secured to you factory raised side rails but also, be keyed alike with the accessories you're hauling. Removing the end cap here, you can utilize T-Track accessories with this as well.Now something that sets this apart from the other rook racks, though, is while with many of them, you'll have to remove the strips up at the top and cut them to length for your accessories, with this you can simply push down on the strip in the center here and slide your accessories in. more
